We made it to Pamploña yesterday. We are quite tired, feet ache but no blisters. We stayed at the German Albegue Casa Paderborn with a bunch of nice people. Had a peregrino dinner at the Palace Cafeteria and we were treated extremely well. The owner a former peregrino himself gave some nice shots of a local liquor to aid us on our way. I am having a heck of a time using my iTouch, but I am still glad I brought it. Not sure where we will walk to today. We sent two kilos of clothes to my friend in San Sebastian and were are now in the public library and is almost 1000. We need to start moving. Ultreia!!

Re: Pamplona/Uterga

We walked all the way to Uterga today. We started late, 1100, and got here by 1600. We are beat. coming down from the Altos de el Perdon was murder. Interestingly, when we got to the Altos, and we were looking at the metal sculptures, a photographer asked if he could take our picture while a motorcyle zoomed by. They were doing an article about going to Santiago de Compostella, and I assume it was by motorcylce. Anyway the magazine is called La Moto, and the spread comes out the middle of next month!! We are now in Uterga stayina at a very nice albergue Camino de Perdon - 10€ a night, and their pilgrim menu is 12 €. This is a very clean and comforting place. Tomorrow where do we go?
