@mspath you are right about the view from Alto de Mostelares. Truly beautiful…I wept with gratitude for the blessing of so much magnificence in our world, and prayed that people everywhere could see beauty today.
Now I’m in Boadilla del Camino, staying at the lovely Juntos Alberque run by Carola & Arlo from the Netherlands. Upon arrivial, I ordered a pancake with Nutella. It was delicious and carb heaven!
I know the decision about shoes is one of the most important decisions we make in preparation for the Camino. I need a wide toe box and space to comfortably insert orthotics. I settled on Altra Torin 5 luxe several months ago. They’re pricey so obviously I hoped I made a good decision. So far, so good. I’m wearing them with Injinji toe socks. I started out wearing wool socks, but within a few days, had a blister on both 4th toes. Switched right away to the Injinjis and blisters have resolved with just using antibiotic ointment and bandaids.
