French railways have announced a special night train service for July and August 2022 connecting Paris/Gare Austerlitz with Lourdes, Bayonne and Hendaye. Prices are very reasonable.

From Bayonne you can connect with a local train/bus link to Saint Jean Pied de Port to start the Camino Frances.

Here is an update dated 28 June, 2022, re the welcome anticipated return of the night train ,Le Pyrénéen, leaving from Paris/Austerlitz, July 1, 2022, arriving Hendaye, July 2, 2022 .
