Parking in Burgos

Hi

We are planning to walk El Camino Frances, starting in September. We would like to leave our car in Burgos for the duration of the walk. I have worked out the public transport to make this happen and this seems fine ... but one problem remains.

Does anyone know where I can park my car in Burgos for 6 weeks or so? Any advice gratefully received.

Buen Camino,

Alistair (aka MillOaks)

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Hello Alistair,
No-one has ever asked about parking a car for 6 weeks in Burgos so I thought I would do a search for future reference.
Interparking Hispania has a parking garage - Aparcamiento Catredal - in Burgos that will allow you to park for 6 weeks for about 218 euro.
Here are the quoted costs:
ABONO SEMANAL (7 Días)……………………………. 60,00 €uros
ABONO QUINCENAL (15 Días)………………………... 78,00 €uros
ABONO MENSUAL (30 Días)…………………………... 140,00 €uros
6 weeks will include the monthly subscription of 30 days for 140.00 € and another 15 days for an amount of 78.00 € , total of 218.00 €

If interested, as you enter the parking you must take a ticket and then go to the control cabin so that they can cancel the ticket and you can let them know that you want to make a monthly payment or that best fits your stay. They will fill out a request (they have enclosed one for you to complete with your data) and will prepare an invoice. If you are going to move the vehicle while in the parking they will provide you with a card to come and go when you want to for a pre-payment of 6.00 euros deposit which will be repaid when you deliver the card at the end of your stay in the parking lot.

Mail me off line if you would like a copy of the letter - the form - and a map of Burgos.
