I'm now seriously thinking about my Lisbon-Santiago pilgrimage and am wondering if someone can tell me where i go to geo my passport in Lisbon. I hope to start my trek on August 3. Anybody else put there leaving on that day?

You can buy a credencial prior to travel. See the tab at the top of this page: 'Services in Santiago by Ivar'.

You can also get them at the Se Cathedral in Lisbon, just inside the main door at the information desk and at the Church of the Martyrs (Igreja dos Martires). Both churches are easy walking distance, down near the old Baixa section of Lisbon by the Tejo River. Bom Caminho.

I don't believe that there is a Portugese" version of the credential...
I am in Santiago now after walking the Primitivo and just picked up another credential at the Pilgrim Office to use on the Camino Portugese in a couple days.

Maybe someone can correct me if I am wrong.

I believe that Via Lusitana organization is currently designing a credencial for the Portuguese route but I am even more certain that you will not be required to use "the right one" on the route. Any Santiago credencial will surely be accepted on any Santiago route.

The credential at the moment is the same one you get through Ivar and the stamp at the cathedral. You can call Via Lusitana
and make sure there is credential at the cathedral..just in case. BOM Caminho
