Does anybody have any information regarding accommodation and costs on the Pelgrimspad, Amsterdam to Maastricht or the Via Mosana, Maastricht to Namur?

Are there guides to these two routes in English?

Thanks

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
I walked the Via Mosana from Aix-la-Chapelle to Lieges/Namur and on to Reims in 2006. Accomodation in Belgium is very scarce. There are no pilgrim hostels but some private accomodations for pilgrims as well as hotels and B&Bs in the towns along the way. Public transport is very good, though, so I walked part of the way in Belgium staying in Lieges and Namur for several days in the youth hostel and using buses and trains to get to the start and finish points of the individual walking days. The waymarked path goes through beautiful countryside but is quite strenuous - it was built and waymarked by the Belgian Section of the Alpine Society, so I walked along the river Meuse through the valley instead.

There are no guides in English of the 'Pelgrimspad' from Amsterdam to Maastricht.
The guides are like the GR-guides in France with topographic maps for the total route, so it is possible to walk only on these maps. There are no pilgrim hotels but enough private accommodation.
For more details on this route be free to ask.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

Beautiful detailed Dutch ordnance survey maps 1:25.000 and international white-and-red waymarking. A lot of pilgrim's information in Dutch. This is a really wonderful pilgrim's path connected at Visé to the Chemins de Saint-Jacques through Belgium and France; you'll be surprised!

Enjoy!

Last summer, 2008, I walked from Amsterdam to Fisterra on the Camino. I used the Pelgimspad books and the Via Mosana, then the GR 654 to Vezelay, then used the official guide to the Pyrenees where I linked to the Camino Primitivo to the end. It took me 85 days

I couldn't find the guides for the Netherlands in English, but the topo maps are good and you won't get lost, as the terrain is flat and the marking is for the most part adequate. The Via Mosana guide is excellent.

As far as accomodation, I carried only 1 days food at a time, and for the Netherlands I camped in my tarp the entire time except for 1 night in a hostel. I took me about a week and a half to walk the Pelgrimspad Vol 1 and 2. There are no pilgrim refuges in the Netherlands that I found, but there are gites but they are about 15-30 Euros. There are lots of campgrounds if you have a tent, and those are cheap, or you can just sleep in the countryside. If you have any questions or if you want to see pictures from my trip please reply! Good luck
