traveling with 2 friends in May. looking for a pension or hotel in on near Redondela.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Not sure what price range you are looking for but here are a couple of options. Both are just beyond Redondela towards Pontevedra and overlook the Vigo estuary. I've stayed at the Antolin a couple of times and it is a very scenic location. Staying again in July.
Both are slightly off the Camino path but Antolin has waymarkers back to it. It would also be very straightforward from Anton as well.
8 euros by taxi to Antolin last year or a few kms to walk.

The csj on line guide to the route also mentions the Hostal Brasil 2 (Tel 986 402 251) which is in Redondela itself. I have no other details.

It doesn't matter where you stay as long as you DON'T stay in Redondela. There is nothing, absolutely nothing in this town. It has nothing to offer a pilgrim. No restaurants except for cafe/bars with snacks. No friendly people. Two albergues that fill up fast. It is a dump and should be avoided at ALL costs. You can't say that I didn't warn you.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

Do I need to bring my own pillow & pillow case for albergues?
Hi, Has anyone stayed in Armenteira recently? I’ve contacted Victor the Taxi to try and reserve a bunk at the Slbuergue de peregrinos. He told me to contact “ Albergue de San Ero de Armenteira”...
