It seems that this donkey is really a part of the camino between Santa Marina and Llanos de Somerón.
Who remembers/knows the song "Borriquito" by "Peret" (1971)?

When I went through this pass in early April I had to climb a 10ft frozen snowdrift to get to it. Looks much more accessible on this day. Nice pictures. Thanks for sharing.
