Pilgrim Elect fostered by Pilgrim Laureate

Dear Pilgrim,

Every season many new pilgrims ask a great deal of questions, both old and new, and everytime many of the immediate answers are the same. That is good! It reminded me of a kind of wanderer elect that was presented in a Dutch camper's magazine years ago. He was dressed up with all the best gear the experts could think of and I vaguely envisage a picture of a heavily laden kind of pilgrim elect on infinite travels. I have never seen him since...

Wouldn't it be a nice idea to have our own Pilgrim Elect with the process being monitored and managed by our own Pilgrim Laureate on this forum? It could be all a simple matter of voting by YOU on the best shoes, cloths, guides, cell phones, cameras, motivations, ideas, expectations, ecetera…

Perhaps we should start by voting for a Pilgrim Laureate who would have the time, energy and motivation to bring our Pilgrim Elect into the light eventually. (Don't look straight away at me; I'm already far too busy on this forum with the 'King' reviews and the making of a handful of new Dutch pilgrim's paths on http://www.pelgrimspaden.nl !)

Of course I first asked Ivar's opinion on this initiative and today he encouraged me to proceed, so anyone who is in favour, will you please cast your vote for our own Pilgrim Laureate to be on this forum in a PM addressed to PILGRIMSPLAZA. As soon as the chosen one is ready, willing and able to start fostering and developing this plan I'll let you know!

Beste kampeerder,
Wie kan zich de presentatie herinneren (misschien al wel 10 jaar geleden) van een virtuele 'modelkampeerder', die toen was opgetuigd met een soort 'ideale' uitrusting? Wellicht was de titel of het motto toen: "Wat voor kampeerder bent u?"
De vraag is dan concreet of u me een gedocumenteerd plaatje kunt sturen?
