How about some advice from the locals on great tapas bars in Logroño? We're arriving from Madrid at about 9:30pm, so the timing should be just about right. That first night we are not in an albergue so we can stay out late!

Logroño is a whole different story! Better tapas but more competition! Calle San Juan and Calle Laurel is where you want to be. Many bars specialize in a very special tapas and other options - each a bit different so it helps to keep the people happy and moving and no arguments with the neighboring bar. Try Laurel 2 for Soriano, Laurel 4-6 for Lorenzo, San Juan 21 for A Tu Gusto, or La Sacristaat at Calle de Portales 25

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Sounds great. I have copied that list into my "camino useful" guide on the smartphone.

Albergue Lorgrono is mere steps away from Calle del Laurel in Logrono, less than 100m away, for €40, you can get a room for four with an ensuite bathroom with nice fluffy towels and body wash, and shampoo. The best part is you get a key to get back in.

Hi Kanga,
Scruffy would not try this because of the beard so may i suggest the following;
Volapie,
4 laurel, Logrono.

Walk in , sit 6 feet from door at the bar, right beside the school prawns on display.
Order the Combo which is white wine and prawns and order them again and order them again this will total 10 euro. Walk back and go to bed...... Feeling peckish..... there is pork belly in strips which they heat and cut into cubes , 1.90 e [ $3 ] ..have another wine now mate , Chateau Barbadillo @ 1.10 [$2 ] , now definitely GO to bed.
They have been there for decades and the owner is a very proud pilgrim.
One day Scruffy i hope to join you in these alley ways.
