The Almería-Granada association of friends of the camino has established a small lending library at the new albergue of Rioja, just north of Almería. It has books and magazines etc on the camino and on the local area which pilgrims can sign out and then return at other association albergues on the way to Granada. The mayoress of Rioja calls it a "biblioalbergue".

Sounds a great idea.

Definitely a great idea and the best part is that the books will be returned. Otherwise you wouldn't be able to change books on first 2-3 weeks of certain Camino and there would be stacks of books in Santiago ;)

What a lovely idea! There are book exchange (take one/leave one) on the CF but this sounds also great for book worms like me! SY

I've just completed the Camino Mozarabe from Almeria. My first Camino was the Camino Frances from SJPDP in October 2021. I don't have a trip report as such. I know people who trip on mushrooms...
