Pilgrim Office closed?

I've heard that the Pilgrim Office in St Jean PdP closes mid-October. How do I get a Pilgrim Passport if I arrive In St Jean PdP and find it closed? I'll probably arrive around 16th or 17th October. Can I order one beforehand?

If the pilgrimsoffice is closed you should be able to obtain one at the albergues...

I think after October, you go directly to the albergue in SJP & get the credential there.

There are both a Tourist Office and a pilgrim welcome center in St.-Jean-Pied-de-Port. The Tourist Office may close, but I think the pilgrim welcome office across the street from Esprit du Chemin may be open all year.

I found a French website that describes the opening of the Pilgrim Office being from March to November this year. I think it is current, as it also gives some stats for 2008 on the same page. http://www.aucoeurduchemin.org/spip/spip.php?page=rubrique&id_rubrique=132&lang=fr

Quite a few things in France open "from Easter to All Saints".
