Hi, I am from Ireland and flying in to Biarritz on Monday from Stansted London 1705. What is the transport to Saint Jean Pied de Port? Also what time does the tourist office close there. If it is closed can I obtain a pilgrim passport in the Albergue?

Bus from Biarritz airport to Bayonne railway station. Train from Bayonne to St Jean. You will not be alone - follow the rucksacks. The connection for the last train is quite tight so I hope your flight is not delayed. If so there is a youth hostel quite close to the airport for an overnight stay.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Take the stress out of traveling and ?jetlag? Stay a night in Biarritz, it is a beautiful town, travel the next day to SJPdP, explore that town, chat with the kind people at the pilgrims office and then start walking the next day. There is no rush and Buen Camino, SY

I think you may be able to get a passport from the Irish confraternity of st James. I know you can get your first sello in the church in James's street in Dublin. They may have some passports there too. Might be worth giving them a ring.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
The Pilgrim's Office in SJPP stays open until 20:00 hours (8:00pm) or until the last train or bus of the day, whichever is later. (You want to go to the Pilgrim's Office, not the Tourist Office.)

Last SNCF train to SJPdP leaves Bayonne at 1806 on Monday. It waits for the train from Paris but otherwise leaves on time.

Your options:

Take a Chronoplus bus #14 from Anglet Airport to Gare Bayonne. You won't get off the plane in time to catch the last bus that will get you to the train station in time.

Take a taxi from the airport to Gare Biarritz. Catch the 1745 - 1755 train from Biarritz to Bayonne. You will likely need to be in a taxi not later than 1730 to make this work. This is a guesstimate.

Take a taxi from the airport to Gare Cambo les Bains and intercept the train at 1834. You will likely need to be in a taxi not later than 1800 to make this work. This is a guesstimate. You'd need to stay in Cambo les Bains if you don't make the timing.

Call on Express Bourricot for Private Hire taxi that caters to Pilgrims. Private hire taxis are expensive unless shared.

There is also Biarritz Transfers Private Hire taxi.

You could hire a taxi. But it'd probably be more cost effective to stay overnight at Bayonne and catch the 0745 -0843 train to SJPdP. There is enough time to get from SJPdP to Roncesvalles.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
