Hola,

Where does one get a Pilgrims passport ????
I have understood that one need one for staying in the albergues.
I will not start my Camino France in France, but in Spain.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Toreld,

In an earlier post you note that you are starting in Burgos. In Burgos you can obtain your Pilgrim Passport/Credencial at the municipal albergue, calle Fernan Gonzalez, 28 or the cathedral.

Buen camino!

Thank you.

But is a Pilgrims Passport the same as a
Credential??
I do have a Credential for stamps that I have bought on the net.
Yes, I have written before that I would start in Burgos, but after checking the map, I thought it would be better for me to start in Fromista because it is not so much upphills for many days.
But if Passport and Credential are not the same, I can start in Burgos.
I did watch on You Tube this short introductions called Keep On Walking.
When he was talking about the Passport that we need for the Albergues, he showed a small white paper with a shell on. And my Credential does not look like that.

A Pilgrim Passport and Credential are the same. However asof April 2016 there is a new regulation that all Credential must be in the format approved by the cathedral in Santiago. See more here regarding this ruling.
Thank you.

I did have a look at my Credential and there is a stamp Oficina de Acogida al Peregrino
S.A.M.I Catedral Santiago de Compstela . So then I guess everything is fine.

Transport luggage-passengers.
From airports to SJPP
Luggage from SJPP to Roncevalles
