I'm planning a Sept walk but I don't feel it's really happening until that ticket is purchased. So excited for you!

Did you buy travel insurance ...incase you have to change or cancel plans? I'm wondering about that...

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Just got my ticket as well for my second Camino! Leaving Colorado September 3rd heading to St Jean. I was there in June 2014, so it will be nice to experience another season. I have my places to stay booked for the first four days after that I’m winging it! I did not “wing” it last time out of anxiety of no beds available and I know I missed a lot of the Camino experiences. I am going to do my best to step a little further outside of my comfort zone!! Excited and nervous!

St James' Way - Self-guided 4-7 day Walking Packages, Reading to Southampton, 110 kms
Seems like a few folk have pruchased their flights recently.
Rosemary I walked the France's Sept/Oct 2016 And winged it the whole way. The special memories and experiences happened in the most basic places. Yep I treated myself once and a while to a comfy bed and shower but that was going with the flow as well.
Buen Camino to one and all.

Not as of yet, but I need to look into it in. I don't really know much about it.

I've been keeping an eye on fares from SeaTac airport to Paris for a September 16 departure with a September 17 arrival in SJPdP. I'll fly from Paris into Biarritz, probably on a late afternoon flight, like last year. My reservations for that night's accommodations are already made, since they are getting scarce, even this far out.

My son, Caleb, has already purchased his flight into Madrid from Denver. But his departure is on October 4; we will be meeting up in Leon on Oct. 5, and heading together to SdC. We were going to meet up together in Burgos where we left Camino last year, but Caleb can't get all the vacation time needed to finish from Burgos.

So, I'll repeat a few of the stages from SJPdP, and then bus/taxi past some of the stages I walked last year until Atapuerca, and then repeat the walk to Burgos and then the Meseta to Leon.

The last major logistical thing left to do is buy the darned plane tickets and reserve a spot on the Express Bouricott shuttle. I don't have anything to buy, sort, or arrange; my pack and Camino gear are all sitting in their respective storage areas waiting to be thrown together.

I did decide to add a new GoPro Hero 6 to the inventory though. Thankfully the darned thing with batteries and memory cards is really light. It can recharge its batteries using the same wall charger I already have.

Hey YoCo!
I would advise on getting insurance, it is just that.... IF, for some reason, God forbid, knock on wood, anything would happen to you, being from the states, insurance goes a long way to help. I never hestitate to get insurance when traveling internationally!!! Keep me posted on your dates, etc... It would be fun to hook up!
Take care and Buen Camino!

Yeah...sounds like you're talking about health insurance for the trip. I'm planning on that. But I was asking the OP, and anyone really, if they get the travel/flight insurance when purchasing plane tix? It's usually like $20 at time of plane ticket purchase.
Anyone?
