Just after the Pont de La Loi, there is a notice that the path beyond here could be flooded.
It turns out that this advice is no longer relevant.
The guide books such as the GR65, and the official maps, as shown by the iPhiGéNie app, show the continuation of the Way to the railway bridge at Vions along the Rhône. The new path goes from the sign straight to the D921. When you get to the D921, cross the road, and follow the bicycle path. It is all signposted from there, and you get back on to the original path just before you get to the railway bridge.
The only drawback is that the new path is all on sealed roads, whereas the old one was not.
The reason this was changed is that pilgrims had to cross a river at a ford, and accidents had happened.
