Portrait of a Pilgrim Photography & Text

Hi everyone!

I am a photographer based in Brooklyn, New York. I walked the Camino Francés last summer and ended up putting together a little photography book.

The online version can be viewed here: http://home.michaelgeorgephoto.com/port ... -a-pilgrim

There is a text supplement to go along with the photos, mostly journal entries from my time on the way. I think it will give some of you a better idea of what you might find while walking :)

Some personal details: I walked for 35 days from St. Jean to Santiago. Started alone, but met many others. I am a 24 year old male from the US.

Buen Camino,

Michael

The photos look wonderful Michael, and give such a good taste of the Camino. I love the one looking downstairs at what must be Granon. (Actually, looking again it might not be Granon- but it has a similar 'feel' to it! I was walking in June last year, and the landscapes look a bit similar, so we can't have been too far apart in time... I look forward to reading some of your text later.

Thank you so much for sharing your photographs and your story. I am walking the Camino in May 2013 for my 60th birthday and I hope that I too will ' remember how to see.' I loved your photo of the wooden cross on the rock. Could you please tell me where this photo was taken. Thanks again Karen

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Was it just before Burgos? Great photos! I took about 300 just walking St.Jean to Burgos! Thank goodness for digital cameras! If I take that many one or two might turn out nearly as good as yours!

Karen,

Unfortunately I photographed my Camino with film so the images are in no specific order. It is hard to determine where certain details were taken. However if I manage to remember I will let you know!

Thanks for taking the time to read through the text, it really means a lot.

Yours,

MG
