Post Restante in Santiago

Hi, I'm new to this. However, I am not the pilgrim. My husband is currently doing the walk and will arrive in Santiago in about 2 weeks. I need to send a small package and he suggests we send it to the local post office in Santiago. Has anyone done this and do they know if it works. It's just a few documents he wants and we thought this would be a good idea. Do I just address it to him care of Post Office, Santiago de Campastella, or could someone let me know if there is a more formal address. Thank you and good luck to all on the walk!! I think you're all wonderful. Marganne

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

The best resource is to send it to Ivar. His entire business is facilitating the lives of pilgrims and your husband will walk right by his office as he enters Santiago. Ivar, surely you will read this and provide the contact info. Cheers.

Address the parcel to your husband exactly as his name appears in his passport as he will have to present it when collecting the package.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Hello!
I have several times sent post to Lista the Correos in Spain and everything has been OK. When I came to Santiago my packets lay there waiting for me. So did the packet I sent from home to Pamplona this year too. As I see it it is Ok to send packets to and inside Spain.
But this year I learned that sending things from France is not OK. I sent one from Le Puy to Santiago and another from St. Alban to my home in Norway. Paid a lot for the sendings. Both dissappeared.
So if it is a next time I will send things I will need arriving in Santiago from my home to Ivar and avvoid taking to much stuff with me.
I would not trust la poste in France any more.
