Hi

I am currently in St Jean Pied de Port and wanting to send something to myself to pick up in Leon in Spain and went to the post office to organise and unfortunately no one there can understand english so hoping someone can assist as to what I can do....wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation. Am starting the walk tomorrow so was hoping to get organised today...all assistance greatly appreciated

It will be much easier if you carry the material with you past Roncesvalles to Burguete where you can mail it from the new Correos facility. See point 3 in this handy English web re their services.

I'm not sure of this but I believe that if you show them your credential they give you a special pilgrims' rate. In Burguete they will probably immediately recognize you as a pilgrim anyway.

Be sure to read the other pages on the http://www.elcaminoconcorreos.com/en/ website. They ship bicycles, transfer your pack from stage to stage, stamp credentials and provide other services such as holding your pack for you while you visit the cathedral in Santiago. If you don't need the information yourself the chances are pretty good that you will meet someone along The Way that will appreciate your new-found knowledge.
