Time of past OR future Camino

Hi guys,

I'm beginning the Camino's in Sarria on Wednesday morning, (first Camino). Flying from Dublin tomorrow lunchtime to Santiago, busing to Sarria & overnighting. I've accommodation booked for tomorrow night but would I need to pre-book from here on in? & if so how far in advance? or can pilgrims just arrive & find accommodation?

Thanks in advance

Colm

You can generally book in the morning for the place that you want to stay that evening. Then of course you have to get there even if you're tired and want to stop elsewhere.

I don't think you'll have any problem just showing up and finding a bit presuming that you're not arriving really late in the day.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
I'm happy to hear this.
Annie, when you see the number of people on the trail it is hard to believe but it's what I was told by a number of people and what I also experienced starting in Melide. Ribadiso filled up the day I was there, but around 6 pm, and had only been 2/3 full the previous night. I'm thinking that those not carryong their packs must be avoiding albergues, and certainly public ones, but that is just a hypothesis.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Hi,
Thanks for the replies, managed to find one in Portomarine easily enough. Buen Camino
