my plan is to arrive in France during the last week of May... spend a couple of days by the coast (Bayonne?)... then maybe start the walk on 1st June

Agree. I much prefered Muxia to Finisterre but walking across Spain to the sea at Finisterre was great. Walking from there to Muxia was a nice warm down.Hi, just a suggestion, but if you have time maybe walk to Fisterra via Muxia. It's a splendid route! Buen Camino.
