Preparing my feet for my CF June/July along the Thames footpath. A newly-unveiled Big Ben looking all shiny and new!
What mini treks are people doing to prepare, and can anyone recommend any near London (I'm contemplating a Chaucerian yomp to Canterbury in the next couple of months)?

You needn't go anywhere special. Just map out a route of 15 km or more from your house to a coffee shop or restaurant and back. 😉

This is where @Annette london knows most paths, walks and routes arond the outskirts of London. Many of the pictures she has posted over the last few years on other threads had me thinking she was in a wilderness area, not next to this huge major urban city! You could send her a PM or she may respond here on her own.

I have been incredibly inspired by so many stories of loss, pain, diagnosis, or other stories that tug at my heart strings, but one pilgrim, since lost in the threads here, was an 83 year old man...
I started my training walks last fall in preparation for the camino frances this year. This included walking in the mall in bad winter weather (ugh!). My husband was undecided about joining me...
