The question is: have any of you veteran Camino Frances pilgrims out there noticed if there any bars along the way that have a dart board hanging on the wall? If so, where. I'm having trouble getting my pack weight up to goal and thought perhaps my dart ensemble might help.

I saw a bowling alley in Leon. Have you considered packing a bowling ball? You might want to do that in case you can't rent one in Spain.

You'll be fine taking the Board on as hand-luggage but you'll have to check your darts.

Can't help you there, but some terrain is great to play golf. Take the golfclubs with you that will weight up.

Now that you mention it, no I don't recall any dart boards in the bars. In fact, now that I think about it, I don't remember seeing many bar games at all. No darts, no shuffleboard, no air hockey, no foosball (You'd think a foosball would be right up Spain's ally!) I may have see a pool table, but I don't remember where. The only games I remember seeing were those slot machine things.

An activity that would be perfect to be introduced to Spain would be ladder or lawn golf. It would be perfect for afternoons at the albergue. Easy and cheap to DIY too. You just need a few feet (meters) of PVC pipe and some connectors to make the ladders. And some golf balls and rope for the throwing balls.

It has just occurred to me that the OP hasn't gone on Camino yet. He doesn't realize that, after walking all day through all sorts of weather, and looking after his laundry, all he's going to want to do at the end of the day is put his feet up. Perhaps he should start thinking of Scrabble!

How about a deck of cards? That's a good way to get rid of the loose change with a game of poker. I've never played myself, but willing to learn.
