I hope to stay in the Albergue/Hostel that is located in the small village of Santa Eulalia de Doriga approximately 3km before Cornellana. It is co-located with the bar and winery Ca Pacita, owner Toño.
Unfortunately, I've found it difficult to get in touch with Toño. Two emails sent at this stage without getting any reply. Perhaps it is still too early in the 'season' and it may not be open. However, as it is a small hostel I'd like to get the booking sorted.
My next obvious step is to ring but as I plan to walk a long say (c35km from Oviedo) my preference is to have some email/written correspondence to confirm the booking.
Anybody any recent experience with staying in Ca Pacita?

No a very popular place. I doubt you will have problems getting a room. If it’s open that is. It was closed when I passed by.

Ca Pacita was one of my favorite places. I wrote about it in my Primitivo blog. Call Antonio and reserve a private room. The bathroom is shared and very nice. The hostel part is in the attic and can be very warm on hot days. Same for the cabin hostel. Definitely reserve a private room. The food is good and the host is wonderful. He will wash your clothes for you too. I didn't reserve, we just decided to stop short that day after a very hot walk last May. The rooms had been reserved so we stayed in the hostel and we were the only ones up there.
Definitely call and reserve the room. Don't worry about getting confirmation in writing. Just reserve it and ask him to reply by email if he can. It's pretty rural out there.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Thanks folks.
Alaskadriver your comments are reassuring. I'll ring to book. Buen Camino
