problems accessing website

i have been having trouble accessing the website. i don't know whether it has to do with my internet connection or your website has been busy and slow to be accessed. doe anyone else have same problem.
also do not understand why the write your reply logo is not on at some of the threads. i am talking about the situation when member is mentioned on the upper right hand corner of the website as compared to member name, inbox, alerts.
appreciate any feedback. thanks.

Not sure I understand your second question, could you clarify?

Sometimes when i want to reply to a thread, there will be a mention at the bottom of the webpage "write your reply...". This "write your reply..." Is not always there for you to reply to a thread, so what happens is you can not reply to a thread. What ever happened to the disappearing "write your reply..."?

I think i got the answer to my first question. If i access yahoo website, i have no problem. If i access google, then this is where i have the problem of accessing the cds forum.
 
Ok now I understand. Yes, sometimes I experience this too but when I close the page and try again it usually works. Also sometimes it takes longer to load the 'reply' box.
 
Check your cookies control too piogaw. I had trouble on one computer (not my own) and found that some items, such as the reply panel, were blocked. This was by a Firefox add-on and with the add-on partly or wholly disabled everything worked OK. It is best to disable on the whole site rather than a page at a time, if that is your problem.

Another question, i am not using google chrome as it is imcompatible with my other programmes. The internet explorer is the menu that slows down my connection when i tried to access this website, could it be something is wrong? I have no problem trying to access through yahoo.
 
If you have tried the site on other computers, and still get the same problem, it might pay to PM Ivar, and see if there is a setting in your profile that is creating the problem.

In Firefox you click on 'Tools' then 'Add-ons'. If the computer is running ABP you can disable it here completely. However it should also show as a red icon top right in the toolbar (next to the Home Icon). It is easy to disable it here by page or by site, leaving it to work with other sites. If using some one else's computer this is the way to go. Hope this helps. No idea about Chrome etc. but is there something similar with your Internet Explorer/firewall that is for pop-up blocking as it can block other items too.

I had the problem on an older computer running XP with the Essentials virus checker and XP's own firewall with ABP add-on. My own computer is XP with a purchased firewall etc, with ABP not blocking certain sites (including the forum) and no problems.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.

I do not use firefox in my programme, has never download firebox. However my desktop is an old computer using windows vista. As i also has a laptop and an ipad. I do not want to buy another desktop to replace this old desktop.
However no problem in accessing this website with my ipad2.

We skipped Vista with XP on one machine and Terry has had to get a laptop with the dreaded Windows 8.1 which has a mind of its own :rolleyes: but at least it does access the forum :)
I can only suggest that it is maybe a firewall/virus checker problem, but I am no computer expert so hope that some-one else can help you out.

I have just upgraded yesterday to ie 9, maybe the problem will go away. I will just access the forum through yahoo which did not give me problems.
