March 2017 Sarria to SdC
Hi all,

I'm having real problems trying to work out a bus or train from Santiago airport to Sarria on sat 25th of March. All buses are saying sold out! .. Is anyone else looking to get to Sarria on that date that would like to share a taxi or can help me with transport. I'm starting to panic now. I arrive at 4pm local time. Thanks so much in advance.

Hi, I think MonBus only travels this route Monday-Friday, so this is why you are having problems. However I checked the Renfe site and there is a train from SdC to Sarria at 17h00 on Saturday 25 March.

Oh Wow.. Thanks so much Jan.. I really appreciate your help. I was starting to panic. I'll check out that site now. Thanks again xxx Louise

I agree with @whariwharangi , where are you seeing this problem? Subject to the usual flight delays etc you have a reasonable chance of catching the 18:40 from Lavacolla to Lugo and the onward connection to Sarria. Tickets are available and probably will be on the bus on the day.

You will need pre-booked accommodation in Lugo or Sarria because you will arrive to late for the public albergues otherwise there should be no difficulties.

The airport bus goes to the train station after the bus station, and stops right in front. However, a 4 p.m. airport arrival probably will miss the one and only daily train to Sarria.

You will do better to catch the Empresa Freire bus from the airport to Lugo, then the Monbus bus to Sarria.

Thanks Peter,

I looked at monobus and they don't travel on Saturday.

I can get a bus with Empresa to lugo but there is a 3.5 hr wait for a connection.

Ill keep trying.

Thanks for you help !!

Hi Falcon269,

That was exactly my problem and I was trying to book this on my phone which was giving me limited view making it all too harrowing :) !

I have followed the links and I think I'm sorted.

Thanks again.

Hi Tincatinker,

Thankfully I have accommodation booked in Sarria already. The way I was planning the route it was taking me over 6 hours to get there.

Im working on the Empresa and monbus links so hopefully it will all work out.

Thanks again.
