Question for the Ladies....

What is your opinion of walking in DryFit workout pants? I currently live in the middle east and there are not many options for women when it comes to hiking pants. I'm walking this July. Have any of you walked in workout pants? If so what was your experience? Do you think they would be too hot (capri length) during the summer months? Thanks for your help! :)

Hello there from Abu Dhabi as well (there are several of us on this forum - go figure)!

Workout pants work for me and my friend. I wish I could find some that are above the knee, but the only ones around seem to be bike shorts with all that padding, so no. I wore a combination of capris, shorts, and trousers with zip-off legs last year. Most of that gear no longer fits ( :( ), so I'm planning on going in my regular capri workout pants this year, starting from Logrono or Los Arcos.

Where are you starting from and when? It was cold going from SJPP to Roncevalles. Check out the news item elsewhere on the forum about several people needing rescue for hypothermia - and several needing it for heat-related issues! It will not be as hot in Spain as it is here, I promise. That said, I had a "cool" run on the Corniche tonight - a nice breeze was blowing.

Hey 3walkingtosantiago!

I would love to meet up and chat with you more. I've been waking up at 4am to walk, lol....don't you love summer in the dhabs!

I don't have much time to walk, but i'll be walking July 14th from Astorga thru Santiago and onto Finisterre and Muxia. :D About 2 weeks or so of walking.

I'll try to private message you my info. Thanks for the help!
