Quick word in praise...

Time of past OR future Camino
2019
...of the fantastic app that I downloaded from here...

Apologies as I am sure there is a thread for it. However, my wife and I finished our first Camino on 25th October...it was bloody wonderful and we loved it...(in spite of one or three very sweary days!!)...

I just wanted to say that the App came in handy numerous times and I heartily recommend it to anyone doing the Frances...we used it sometimes when leaving in the dark especially leaving a city, which has too many roads!!

We are now starting to talk about another Camino...perhaps the Portugues?? For 2021...so many thanks to all who helped and advised me in the run up to our first Camino...

Buen Camino!!

Patrick

It's an app that I was convinced I had downloaded from this site but the weird thing is, I can't now find where on the site it is. It was so useful when we did the Camino so I wanted to give it a thumbs up.

On my phone, it is called Camino Places and when I open it, it mentions 'Wisely' and Wise Pilgrim. It also mentions Casa Ivar, which is attached to this site, isn't it?

I am a bit confused now and that's unfortunate as I was looking for an app for the Camino Portugues...

Is it this?

It doesn't look like that when you open it...it has a trail of red dots, denoting the route of the Camino and at times there are also trails in green, offering alternative routes...and there is a flashing blue dot, telling you where you are...

Does that sound familiar?

Is there an app that overlays the routes/paths on a map so the user can zoom in on each option?

Being able to zoom in on each option off-line, or see your location on-line would have prevented us being lost several times.

Being able to scale the elevation or slope more accurately that paper guide books would be a big bonus.
