These had been posted a while ago in another thread:
ok guys which one of the two albergues in Rabe de las Calzadas I should avoid? Still the same owner?
annie
The newer one gets the better reviews:
Los Albergues: Albergue Liberanos Domine
Dirección: Plaza Francisco Riberas, 10
Localidad: Rabé de las Calzadas
Teléfono de contacto: 695 11 69 01
The older one operates a museum:
Óspital albergue de peregrinos Sta. Marina y Santiago
Municipio: Rabé de las Calzadas - (Burgos)
Descripción: Óspital, como en la antigüedad.
Dirección: Al lado de la Iglesia -Plaza Francisco Ribera 6
The competition between the two is vicious.
After Burgos:

There may be a third albergue in Rabe de las Calzadas:
Virgen de la Guia, Calle Caballeros 12
Coste: 6
Disponibilidad: Del 01 del 04 al 31 del 10
Plazas: 22
Población Rabé de las Calzadas
Teléfono 947451341

And there is yet another in my 2015 edition of Brierley, Casa de Michele et Felix
Last year some walking buddies had stayed in Rabe and gave rave reviews...but which place I don't know.
Can anyone clarify?

And is En el Camino in Boadilla open in March?

Great, thanks, Margaret. (I guess I have to get in the habit of going to gronze.com. I never think of it.)

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
In Rabe, the albergue Libéranos Dómine is lovely. Simple home-cooked meal, lovely hospitaleros, they even had breakfast laid out ready early in the morning.
I still have the little medal they gave to each of us attached to my rucksack....

En el Camino in Boadilla is open now, according to Eduardo, the owner :)

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

En el Camino is where I spent my last night on the Camino back in October, so it particularly stood out in my mind. I was very sad to leave as everyone else of course was continuing on. It was truly a delightful place, very homey, good food and comfortable atmosphere! Staff (aka family) worked very hard to accommodate the pilgrims. For a nominal fee the owner's mother took me to the bus station to catch the 7:30 am bus in Fromista (5km down the road) back to Burgos. I don't know what it will be like now in March but the garden was a beautiful place to relax and get caught up with people after a long day's journey. I stayed in municipals most of the way. This was a lovely place to make my last night more special.

My countdown is on......I return to Fromista in just less than 2 months! ! Santiago and Finnisterre here I come! ! ! : )

Buen Camino!
