Rain in September along Camino portugues

Can anyone tell me how much rain there might be in September between Lisbon and Santiago? I have good quality waterproof pants which are much heavier than a cheaper pair that I have which is not very comfortable. If it rains regularly, I am thinking it would be better to have the comfortable trousers. However if it doesn't rain that frequently, I will make do with the cheaper ones. Can anyone comment on this please? Thank you.

Olá Lisa,

There is a 10 days forecast for Portugal: https://www.ipma.pt/en/otempo/prev.localidade.hora/
for Spain: http://www.tempo.pt/galiza-sabado.htm

On my ways I always buy a stick umbrella in a chinese shop for 5 €. I fix it with clips to my backpack - hands free.

Bom caminho, Rainer

Thank you all. It looks like the rain is fairly intermittent and mostly sunny, at least for the next 10 days!

Last year from Lisbon Sept14 thru Mid-Oct it was very hot and dry all the way to Porto then only one day of rain and a bit cooler thereafter.
My walking mate put on rain pants on the rainy day and went crazy to take them off from feeling as if she were in a very intense sauna.
The poncho was sufficient for us both.
Enjoy your beautiful walk
