Don't know where this thought came from but I was just thinking back to the showers in the albergues, remembering how few had hooks to hang a towel, clothes, etc. There is a definite shortage of hooks in the shower stalls, most had none, some had one, luxury to have 2.
I'm thinking I may bring a bag of hooks and fasten them to stalls that need them on my way next time, probably need a couple hundred hooks, screws, drill ...

You could invent something! Some appropriate hooks with a kind of strap that could be attached to a door handle/frame or something else. Buen Camino!

I've seen metal contraption type things used in people's homes over their doors to hang towels shaped like a long rectangle to hitch over the top of the door with a hook on one side.. I'm going to pack one now. Camino forum is fantastic thanks guys!

Cut a six inch length of coat hanger and bend it into an S shape. Cheap and light!

Good idea Falcoln but if you take your rucksack as "carry on" might they confiscate it?

A door hanger is agreat idea but think of the weight!!

You can buy hooks on suction cups which are small or there are those door hangers for Xmas wreaths which are bigger

I use a carabiner and put my clothes etc. in a dry bag hanging from it. I also use it with a shoelace where necessary.

I took two of those rubber suction hooks with me, worked a treat.
