We will be starting our segment of the VF in Lucca in September. Does anyone have a recommendation for accommodation for a 2 to 3 night stay?
Thanks

Hi Sharon
Sounds like a wonderful walk. Although I have no help for you as I haven’t been there ., just asking if other than booking.com whether you have the app for. [ Hostelworld ].
It often has some places not in booking.com and just browsing both for sept in Lucca ; the options (in $aud per night per double room at b&b) in Hostelworld seem better value and have good reviews.
Of course you probably have the pilgrim accommodation listing but worth looking at these if it’s a starting point.
Good luck with planning
Annie

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Love Lucca, the walled old town is beautiful.
We stayed at B & B Anfriteatro in Nov 2017.
It is in the middle of the old town. Has a great restaurant next door for breakfast. Found it on booking.com.

I stayed in the San Frediano Hostal, which is inside the city walls. I didn't book in advance and thought it a pretty decent place ( a kind of Youth Hostel that welcomes Pilgrims). Lucca is amazing.

Hi Sharon, Buongiorno! We stayed for couple nights at the Confraternity of the Misericordia di Lucca, Via Cesare Battisti, 2, '+39 (0)583 409 546 (press 2). The Confraternity provides the Pilgrims on the Via Francigena a place to sleep and eat. It is an apartment adjacent to the emergency services headquarters (you will see Ambulance vehicles parked nearby and you talk to the people at the Ambulance office), located a few steps from the Church of the Arch: St. Saviour in Mustolio, also called "Mercy". 5 beds, kitchen, living room and toilet. A newly renovated flat with three beds, bathroom and kitchenette. Amazing location right in the centre. We had to wait till 3 pm to check in. It was 10 euros in 2018 (donativo). And they do have many more rooms further away (we had stayed there too). Simple but clean facility. There is a decent restaurant across the street on a side lane with pilgrim menu! A lovely city and you could walk/bike on top of the walls!

If you look at the via Francigena app. Map,
It will show you hospitality spots for Lucca.
