Just today using the Forum on my phone, a bell symbol in a red circle has appeared on the bottom right of my screen. It floats, so is always there when I scroll up and down. When I tap it, it says "subscribe to notifications". Pretty sure I'm already getting all the alerts, but I tapped to agree anyway. But it won't go away!

I assume this may be a new feature - is there a way to make it disappear? It's sort of in the way.... It also sits right on the (I think) rather useful "up" arrow that can take you back up to the top of a screen or thread. So, really in the way and a bit annoying.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
As a newbie I am not totally familliar with all the features of this site. However I do agree that this floating symbol is a nuisance! Please, someone, anyone, help me to switch it off!!

This was me trying something out... it should be gone now.

Thanks Ivar! :):) I don't like to discourage anyone trying new things - always good to try! Thank you for all you do for us on this wonderful forum - it always cheers me up on our soggy southern winter days, with or without red buttons!! :D

Ivar is a really nice person. I had the pleasure of meeting him when I completed my Camino. Yes, thank you Ivar. You are one of the Camino 'blessings'.

Greetings all. I was scheduled to start in Porto in a few days. Went for a 20 km hike yesterday (my longest thus far) and almost didn’t make it. By the time I got home, I could hardly walk...
I have a confession. I am terrified of - and yes now feel free to laugh - the top bed in bunks with no railing/fence (something to stop you falling out). I've managed to get away with it except...

One way or another, you need to see this movie! We were lucky enough this evening to attend the 'World Premiere' that was followed by a Q&A Session with: Writer / Director / Producer - Bill...

I was looking at the wisepilgrim app for the Frances route and noticed that the distances don't always add up from one side to the other. Has anyone else noticed this? Am I being overly observant...
