Camino Portugues May 2019
I spent this May , sheltering in place in Ventura CA and looking back at my photos from my Camino in May 2019. What I found was even more insights to unpack this May, along with the amazing memories from last May. So here is the link to my WordPress blog and the posts I made, if you want to read. What a journey...that is still unfolding. So grateful.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Very interesting reading. You have a way with words. I enjoyed it as it also reminded me of the same walk I did in September 2019. Thank you.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Glad for your Camino memories and glad you enjoyed my posts.

how strange this thread is. The reopening of Portugal is also reopening old wounds for me. The love of my life is a Martha D and the child we lost was conceived in Portugal. The news tells me there is a new lead on the Madeline Mc Cann case. I have prayed for that child every day since she disappeared Its a strange old world at times but the fragments are always connected no matter how fragile .

Vaya con Dios.

Hi Martha, You write beautifully and your blog was a joy to read. I believe that we walked together for a few hours. We met somewhere past Matosinhos, on a steep flight of stairs. Your hat from your Santiago picture looks familiar. I also recall a conversation about universities, dogs and walks while we sat at an outdoor cafe for a much needed break on a hot day. If that was you, I have often wondered how your walk went so I am glad to hear that all was well!

WOW...yes...we did meet and I remember you as well. Loved the lemonades we got that hot afternoon and our good talk too. The memories of the Camino and the amazing fellow pilgrims, like you... and then the links like this...so wondrous for me.
