Remember Them (a tribute to pilgrims we have lost)

[IRISH SCOUSE]

There is a secret staircase away above the clouds,
that one day each December reaches to the ground,
On each step stands a pilgrim,
who once walked the way,
from a thousand years ago,
to a year ago today,
Some are dressed as peasants some are dressed as lords,
some as Templar soldiers complete with shield and sword.
They all stand to attention as a tribute from the past,
to all the Peregrine's who in this year have passed,
and the souls of those lost pilgrims climb the staircase high above,
and slowly walk through Heavens gate,
to wait for those they love. Life is so short, look after those you love.
