Replacement hip belt

Hi, can anyone tell me where I can get a new hip belt for my backpack? The one I have is removable and made from a strong mesh, so makes the pack incredibly light (Vaude Cross Ultralight, 660 g) but I would like a slightly longer and a bit more padded belt to just slide in where the old one is. I would like to keep it light, though. I have another, brilliant bag weighing 1.7 kg, and the weight is about the only difference between them. Any particular makes I should be looking for - or are they even available? Can't find any on eBay. Grateful for any help.

Could you not get a replacement from the place you bought it - or from the manufacturer?
For a really lightweight backpack that comes in small torso sizes, you could try the 430g Miniposa by Gosamer Gear

Hi, Sil - the problem is I bought it second hand on eBay, and they don't make them anymore as far as I know. I have searched the Vaude website and find no separate hipbelts. Some manufacurers must make them, though, surely? It would just slide into position behind the lumbar pad.

If I can't find one I am going to have to use the heavier one after all ...

Edit: Update ... Went to the web site you suggested, and pressed Packing - and there's a hip belt! Looks like the right size as well, and being Gossamer Gear, it's very light ... Sil, you are a star! Thanks a lot!

I am so pleased for you! I know that you buy foam pads to insert into their belts (and shoulder straps) but the photos also show socks or small towels being used to pad the hip belts. And, they are only $15.
