Returning Home
Hi Ivar, greetings from Scotland
I returned from Santiago 2 days ago after completing the Sarria to Santiago route and wanted to tell you i had the time of my life. I met so many incredibly amazing and beautiful people, pilgrims, tourists and residents along the way.
I found it extremely hard going especially considering the very hot temperatures but i would not change it for the world.
The spirit and comradeship between the Pilgrims i met was second to none.
I wore a kilt throughout and it turned out to be a very popular item of clothing. Ive never had my photo taken so much, never mind the constant requests for people to have their photo taken with me. I was even asked to give an interview to a Spanish t.v station and an interview with a newspaper, the Galician something (9th aug).
Ive had a fantastic journey/adventure and i would like to thank yourself, Dael from Scotland and everyone i met along the way who contributed to what i believe to be a life changing experience.
So many people ive spoken to all say the same thing, the real Camino begins once you return home, i think they are right.
Buen Camino to one and all
