Rionegro (home of Me Gusta Comer) awaits its jubilee

Article in the local paper - La Opinion de Zamora - with comments from Teo and other townspeople. The pandemic has been challenging for the small communities along the Camino where pilgrims stay in normal times. I can't think of a community that takes better care of pilgrims.

This was one of my most cherished experiences on the Sanabrés. The town is indeed inviting and welcoming. And Teo's culinary skills are unbeatable on any Camino!

There has been mention of the wonderful town of Rionegro before. I will be walking at the end of the year. I have this place highlighted as a must stop to eat and hopefully sleep if it is open. I will definitely support Teo and his town as much as possible.

The Sanabres has been my "next camino" plan, for over a year, and the Restaurante Me Gusta Comer is highlighted in bold on my spreadsheet.

Based on its reputation, I think it qualifies as a "landmark" on the Sanabres, so I'm tagging it as such!

It had rained all day when I reached Rionegro. After I had dried out sufficiently in the Hostel I crossed the few metres to Me Gusta Comer and joined a couple of other pilgrims. Undoubtedly the best meal on my Camino.
