It you are trying to decide whether to stop at Ribadiso or Arzua, my advice is to push on to Arzua. Road works at Ribadiso mean the cafes are all closed at the moment. With no food available here we had to go to Arzua last night to find dinner (then back to our pension in Ribadiso)!

Ribadiso da Baixo has one cafe. Above the valley across the highway is another about 1/2 a km away with friendly owners and lower prices. You don’t need to go 3 km to eat and you will enjoy tranquil Ribadiso’s quiet.

Wasn’t very quiet yesterday when we walked in. Lout oise from the road-works didn’t stop till nearly 6. And according to our host at the hotel, there was nothing open, closer than Arzua.
