Roadworks at Pinos Puente on the Mozarabe

Hola todos,
My wife and I have just walked the first stage of our camino from Granada to Pinos Puente.

There is a new road being built affecting the camino coming into Pinos Puente. It's alongside the railway track and has cut the turnoff to the albergue  run by the Hermanos Esclavos  de Maria y Los Pobros. If you want to go there you should  probably walk up the N432 but it's busy so watch out.
We got through but I think the signs said keep put.

It's a 31C day, need to start early, lots of water & sunscreen.

Regards to all

Hi, wombat,

Just want you to know that I very much look forward to hearing more about the camino from Granada to Merida. In 2010, when I walked from Sevilla, I met several people who had started in Granada, but they told me there were real problems with markings and distances. So any updates or current impressions you can provide for those of us who have this route on our "wish lists" would be very helpful.

All the best to you, hope the heat abates soon. Buen camino, Laurie
