We had our rucksack nicked right in front of us! Both cameras, our Compostelas, our passports, money, C card, phone - just about everything of value. We were cycling back up thru France along the Camino Voie Litoral after S de C. V tired we were stupid and didn't put all our stuff away safely and a moments inattention meant we lost it all! But it did teach us to be more careful and showed us that we could travel without passports etc - but i do miss the photos!!!

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Sorry to hear this happened to you, loss of the Compostelas and photos is especially upsetting as these are precious memories, at least the other things can be replaced eventually.

This is also a useful reminder to anyone travelling, whether on the Camino or in general, to keep a careful watch on valuables and make sure they're always with you. Have to say, wherever I'm travelling and especially on the Camino where we tend keep everything in the one pack, I make sure that my passport, credit/debit cards, and photo memory cards are kept on my body at all times. The phone and camera are in a bumbag and that is either with me or, in albergues at night, stuffed at the bottom of my sleeping bag. So, if my pack is stolen it's really only the pack and clothes that I need to replace, although medications could be a problem. But at least travel insurance would reimburse the costs involved in replacing most things.
