Rome to Lourdes , train , air or bus ?

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

I fly into Rome in April and would like to know which is the better/cheapest path to get to Lourdes.
Many thanks.
Welcome to the forum!
The cheapest path is the walking path!
Better? maybe but faster: you could fly Baboo (a Swiss airline based in Geneva) from Rome Fiumicio to Bordeaux About €139 http://www.flybaboo.com/flybaboo/en/en-en/index.cfm?
I have no experience on using this airline.
More about low cost airlines http://www.flylowcostairlines.org/low-cost-airlines/
Then take a train from Bordeaux to Toulouse. About 3 - 4 hours and costs € 25 to € 40 http://www.voyages-sncf.com/
From Toulouse another train and finally a bus to get to Lourdes.
I haven`t been there so I don`t know the local conditions.

Flying will certainly be the fastest and least stressful way to get from Rome to Lourdes. There are flights from Rome to Toulouse. At Toulouse you take a shuttle or taxi to Toulouse Matabiau station and then the train directly to Lourdes. I've taken the Toulouse-Lourdes train several times and it takes 2 hours.

There is no bus service between Rome and Lourdes, or even nearby, and the train will take almost 24 hours with several changes.

Air France fly from Rome to Paris to Lourdes - about 660 euro.

*You can go by Eurolines bus : To Toulouse from Rome - € 88 (120km from Lourdes)

Also you can contact a travel agency in Roma like Unitalsi which organizes trips or travel to Lourdes. http://www.unitalsi.it

Thanx fellow Pilgrims ,
It looks like I'm going to take the ferry to Barcelona then train it to Toulouse the next morning .Unfortunatly a ferry from Rome to either Toulouse or Marseille doesn't exist , so I'll have a night in Barcelona instead which really isn't a chore .
