Hi,
I'm flying to Biarritz to start my pilgrimmage and was going to do so at St Jean but am now thinking that I would prefer to start at Roncesvalles - is that possible and easy(ish)?
Thanks

Its not that difficult. You can get the train to St Jean and then get a taxi - or hitch a lift - to Roncesvalles.
Why not email Caroline at: apcaroline@hotmail.com to arrange a lift from St Jean to Roncesvalles after lunch on the day you arrive there? That'll give you time to explore St Jean and Roncesvalles before starting your walk.
last year Caroline was only taking pilgrims to Roncevalles in the mornings at 9am. You may have to stay overnight then in SJPDP or Bayonne - a lovely town worth exploring if you are trying to kill time. cheers, Jane
