Has anyone done this route? In the map of the Camino Portuguese in my credencials it is marked out as a possible route to take. Just wondering if anyone had done it or had any infomation on it?
Thanks!

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

There is nothing wrong with this route. It is a beautiful area but I cannot tell you from Lamego to Guimarães and Braga it is waymarked.
There is the interior route from Viseu via Lamego to Chaves ,more in north eastern direction and connecting the Via de la Plata in Ourense. See the subforum caminho Português Interior. This part is waymarked.

We walked the last bit of it, from Braga to Ponte de Lima, in September 2014. It was clearly marked.

Braga is very beautiful, with a surplus of great churches to visit. Guimaraes is also a handsome, historic city, a little quieter and less prosperous.

Buen camino/Bom caminho!

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Hi MJB
This track is on the "Camino Torres" from Salamanca to Santiago ...as mentioned above, see : (http://caminosantiago.usal.es/torres) ...the stages are shown in detail on the website. translates automatically into English when I use google Chrome.. See "Estapas del Camino" - stage 16. There are also links to some Blogs from other pilgrims under "Relatos" on that site.
I walked this in April this year. Was great to avoid the pilgrim numbers I encountered once Ponte de Lima was reached. Arrows before Guimarães a bit hit & miss.

Ola' AMSimones !!!
I've wanted to see that area ever since I read about your trip through there.
Always appreciate your input !
Tudo de bom
