To the sharing of space with strangers.
To the orchestra of snorers.
To the jamon y queso.
To the hastily acquired Spanglish.
To the pleasing familiarity of new found friends.
To the blisters, wounds of a war with self.
To the vino tinto.
To the relentless rhythm of boots on gravel.
To the burdens of backpacks..... and of life.
To the countless café con leches.
To the joy of crisp clean clothes.
To the grand cavernous cathedrals.
To the humble lodgings.
To the swirling morning mists.
To the cruz de ferro.
To the sweet scent of pine in the mountain air.
