The Mudéjar churches known as Sahgunias are a Gothic/Islamic architecture form originating in... Sahagun-that was easy. The Moors brought the use of brick to this area which is not rich in stone and the churches of San Tirso and San Lorenzo in Sahagun are fine examples of this technique. Sadly, there is not much else in Sahagun. I know of another such church located some five kilometers south of Sahagun, San Pedro de las Duenas found in the village of the same name - a rather unique church which served both the nuns of the convent and as the parish church with some interesting Romanesque (who saw that one coming?) elements on the capitals of the nave. There is a road there, a rather narrow and country affair, as dusty as Sahugun can be, and almost lacking shoulders to walk upon. Never been there. Has anyone visited this village and church? Is there accommodation in the village? Food? Five kilometers is only about an hour's walk in the morning, two back and forth, perhaps somewhat longer if my day started at Ledigos or Terradillos. I would appreciate any information from one who has been there, experience truly the best teacher.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
The nuns have a blog with info and contact details: http://benedictinassanpedro.blogspot.com
That might be the best way to get info if you don't get an answer based on recent first-hand info.

Second hand info (and not recent) but just in case it could be any useful (although I don't think so if you get an answer from the nuns themselves):

The monastery has an hospedería (no idea if just for women) and you might be able to eat in the monastery itself booking in advance (once again, no idea if just for women).

To visit the monastery you have to ask on the village for the woman who has the keys who lives close to the monastery.
