Hi, Mario,
I was visiting with some of the Via Lusitana people in Lisbon last weekend, and they told me that they have heard very positive recommendations about your place. Congratulations and many thanks for giving pilgrims a place to stay in Santarem! Laurie

Hi Laurie,
Thank you for your comment.
Yes fortunately it seems that people are really enjoying stay at the Santarem Hostel .
We started on March, 6 and people reaction has been fantastic. Also the comments by third parties which means that community communication is the best you can get.
Keep it simple: Clean, clean and clean. Nice to stay, not just comfortable. And be there when they need you.
Hope you visit us in a near future.
Mario

Hi all,

I can confirm the comments of the other two. The hostel is great and even it is a new place it has a cosy atmosphere.

Just the place you want to be after a long and dusty walk.

The place very well designed and not only equipped for pilgrims but also for people that want to spend several days in Santarem.

The only danger is that you don't want to leave anymore :).

Thanks for the nice welcoming, Mario. I'm sure that very soon pilgrims will see Santarem Hostel as an absolute must during the camino.

All the best,

Mira

I plan to be there for the night of 23rd May.
But you know what they say .... "If you want to make God laugh, tell Him your plans!"

Hi amerigrino.
Brierley updated some pages of his guidebook, including Santarém (city) where you (all) can find Santarem Hostel, also an update regarding the way between Santarem and Golegã (take Brierley advice). All updates available in: http://www.caminoguides.com/latest.html
Hope you had a bom caminho and see you next year :)

P.S. Flyers are now flying from your concrete arrow pillar rest along 20Km from Azambuja-Santarem path.

I would like to walk the river route in Tui next month. I can see on google maps exactly where it starts, but it seems a bit overgrown. Has anybody used this route this year or last year...
Hello, my friend of 50+ years and I are on our first Camino walk. We are looking for: 1) safe, comfortable hostels in Lisbon; 2) stages from Lisbon to Porto (via Tomar) in about 16 days...
Hi I have searched everywhere to see if there is a luggage service from Lisbon to Porto. I know there is from Porto to Santiago, but Lisbon ???. Thanks for any info.
