Any advise on how to travel from SdeC to Lisbon without too many stops or changes?

There’s a direct bus daily at midday from SdC that arrives in Lisbon at about 8:30pm. Train is trickier because you need to change in Vigo and Porto and there are only two options for leaving SdC: one in the very early morning (6am or earlier) and the other in the afternoon that requires staying overnight in Porto.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
We walked... A fair few stops though.

What @jungleboy said. The Alsa bus leaves Santiago bus station at 12pm, direct to Lisbon. No need to change. The driver will shoo you all off the bus at the Casa Musica Bus Station in Porto, so he can lock the bus, and go get his lunch. You might as well do the same!

Also agree with @jungleboy , the bus is easy, air conditioned, comfortable and cheap not to mention being a good way of seeing some of Portugal.

Buen Camino,

Rob.
