Hi Pilgrims!

First time poster.

Feeling nervous in Santiago tonight because I’m not able to book a taxi in advance for my 6:50AM flight because Taxi’s are overworked with the influx of people. My Hotel gave me a script to help me with Spanish tomorrow morning when I call— I will need to turn on data roaming.

My accomodation is north of the city (40 minute walk from the bus station) but buses don’t run at 4:30AM anyway. Has anyone had success booking a taxi or know of private rides? Maybe I could join in on the ride.

Thanks!

Hi and welcome here. Is it possible to walk to a nearby taxirank now and arrange something with one of the drivers for tomorrow morning? Might be easier than deal with it via phone.

Good luck.

Welcome @Clair Nicole !

The concern is real, as the music festival has jammed up the city. However, since the last performance ends around 4am or later, there will probably be a lot of taxis in motion during that time (and in the hours beforehand) bringing people back in to the city. Hopefully calling should work out just fine.

Safe travels!
