Santiago Matamoros has been left high and dry in Santiago - at least in the town of Nieva Cameros in La Rioja. Pastor Jose Luis Fernandez decided to "...abolish the wielding the sword in the holy image and place it at the foot of Santiago as a symbol to crush violence," says the priest.
